Please read these terms carefully before using LinkUp services.

Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using LinkUp, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using this service.
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the LinkUp mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service") operated by LinkUp Zimbabwe ("Company," "we," "us," or "our").
By creating an account, downloading, installing, or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.
2. Eligibility
Age Requirement
You must be at least 18 years old to use LinkUp. By using this Service, you represent and warrant that you are 18 years or older.
You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and keep your account information updated.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password and for restricting access to your device.

Your Content
You retain ownership of content you post on LinkUp, but grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content in connection with the Service.
You are solely responsible for your content and represent that you have all necessary rights to share it on our platform.
Our Content
The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by LinkUp Zimbabwe and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
5. Subscription and Billing
Premium Features
LinkUp offers both free and premium subscription services. Premium features are available through various subscription plans with different billing cycles.
Billing Terms:
- • Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled
- • Refunds are available within 48 hours of purchase
- • Price changes will be communicated 30 days in advance
- • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
6. Privacy and Data
Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy, which also governs your use of the Service, to understand our practices.
By using our Service, you consent to the collection and use of information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
7. Safety and Reporting
We take user safety seriously. You can report inappropriate behavior, harassment, or suspected violations of these Terms through our in-app reporting system.

8. Warranty of Identity and Accuracy
Your Responsibility
The User represents and warrants that any photograph uploaded or provided to Link Up is a true, current, and accurate likeness of themselves. The User strictly prohibits the uploading of photographs of any other person, deceased or alive, or any AI-generated or "stock" images intended to mislead other users.
By uploading photos to LinkUp, you confirm that:
- • The photos are genuine and current representations of you
- • You have not used AI-generated, stock, or celebrity images
- • You have not uploaded photos of other individuals without their consent
- • The photos accurately represent your current appearance
9. Assumption of Risk and No-Verification Disclaimer
Important Notice
The User acknowledges that Link Up is a platform for user-generated content and does not independently verify the identity of every user or the authenticity of every photograph. While Link Up may use certain tools to monitor content, the User agrees that they use the service at their own risk and that Link Up is not responsible for any "catfishing," misrepresentation, or "wrong pictures" provided by third parties.
You understand and accept that:
- • LinkUp does not conduct background checks on users
- • Profile information is self-reported and may not be verified
- • You should exercise caution when interacting with other users
- • Meeting people from online platforms involves inherent risks
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by the laws of Zimbabwe, Link Up, its directors, and employees shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, or consequential loss, emotional distress, or damages arising from the submission of incorrect, fraudulent, or unauthorized photographs by any user of the platform.
Our total liability to you for any damages arising from or related to these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
We are not liable for:
- • Actions or conduct of other users
- • Fraudulent profiles or misrepresentation by users
- • Any harm resulting from meeting other users in person
- • Loss of data or content
- • Service interruptions or technical issues
11. Indemnification (The "You Pay Our Costs" Clause)
Your Obligation
The User agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Link Up against any and all claims, damages, liabilities, or legal costs (including legal fees on a legal practitioner and client scale) arising from the User's submission of a photograph that violates the privacy, identity, or intellectual property rights of any third party.
This includes any fines or penalties imposed on Link Up by the Postal and Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe (POTRAZ) due to the User's fraudulent submission.
You agree to indemnify LinkUp for:
- • Legal fees and court costs
- • Regulatory fines and penalties
- • Damages awarded to third parties
- • Investigation and compliance costs
12. Right to Monitor and Remove Content
Link Up reserves the absolute right, but not the obligation, to monitor, review, or delete any photograph that it deems, in its sole discretion, to be inaccurate, fraudulent, or in violation of these Terms.
Enforcement Actions
Link Up may terminate or suspend the account of any user found to be misrepresenting their identity without prior notice or refund.
We may take action including:
- • Removing photos that violate our guidelines
- • Suspending accounts pending investigation
- • Permanently banning users who repeatedly violate policies
- • Reporting serious violations to law enforcement
13. Compliance with Cyber and Data Protection Act [Chapter 12:07]
Legal Warning
The User acknowledges that providing false information or impersonating another person through the upload of a photograph may constitute a criminal offense under Section 164C of the Cyber and Data Protection Act. Link Up reserves the right to cooperate with law enforcement and provide user data (including IP addresses) if a criminal investigation into identity theft or fraud is initiated.
By using LinkUp, you acknowledge that:
- • Identity fraud is a criminal offense in Zimbabwe
- • We will cooperate fully with law enforcement investigations
- • Your IP address and device information may be disclosed if required
- • Criminal prosecution may result from fraudulent activity
14. Intellectual Property of Photos
Copyright Warranty
By submitting a photo, the User warrants that they are the sole owner of the copyright of said photo or have obtained express permission from the photographer. The User grants Link Up a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display the photo on the platform for the duration of the User's membership.
When you upload photos to LinkUp:
- • You retain ownership of your photos
- • You grant us a license to display and distribute them on our platform
- • You confirm you have the right to share these photos
- • The license terminates when you delete your account or remove the photo
15. Account Termination
By You
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting our support team or using the account deletion feature in the app or chatbot. Upon deletion, all your data including profile information, photos, messages, and matches will be permanently removed.
By Us
We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service will stop immediately, but these Terms will remain in effect regarding any use of the Service prior to termination.
16. Disclaimers
LinkUp is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
We are not responsible for the conduct of any users or for any damage caused by such conduct. We do not screen users or verify information provided by users.
Online dating involves inherent risks. Use caution when meeting people in person and always meet in public places.
17. Additional Disclaimers
LinkUp makes no warranties or representations about the accuracy or completeness of user profiles and content.
18. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Zimbabwe, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Harare, Zimbabwe.
19. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes via email or through the Service.
Your continued use of the Service after changes are made constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
